Purchase Head – International Import & Procurement

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Purchase Head who has strong knowledge of international import procedures, vendor management, and procurement operations. The candidate will be responsible for handling global sourcing, import documentation, supplier negotiations, inventory planning, and ensuring timely procurement of materials and products.

• Manage complete procurement and international import operations
• Source products and materials from international suppliers and manufacturers
• Handle import documentation, customs clearance, and shipment coordination
• Develop and maintain relationships with domestic and overseas vendors
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts with suppliers
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely material availability
• Coordinate with logistics, warehouse, finance, and production departments
• Track shipment schedules and resolve import/export issues
• Ensure compliance with import regulations, GST, customs, and company policies
• Analyze market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Prepare procurement reports, MIS, and purchase planning data
• Lead and manage the purchase team effectively

• Strong knowledge of international import and procurement processes
• Understanding of customs regulations, shipping, and logistics
• Vendor negotiation and supplier management skills
• Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities
• ERP/MS Office proficiency
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Knowledge of inventory and supply chain management

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field
• MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain or Procurement preferred

• 5–10 years of experience in procurement and international import operations
• Experience in manufacturing, automobile, EV, or industrial sector preferred
